DEA Drug & Chemical Evaluation Section – Kratom

Kratom is not approved for consumption by the FDA or DEA.  The DEA takes the position that there are no legitimate medical uses for kratom, despite making the following statement in their own “Drug and Chemical Evaluation Section” of their Kratom documentation :

“Pharmacology studies show that mitragynine has opioid-like activity in animals. It inhibits electrically stimulated ileum and vas deferens smooth muscle contraction. Through actions on centrally located opioid receptor, it inhibits gastric secretion and reduces pain response.”

Simply Kratom must acknowledge this position and does not market its products for consumption.
